Council Meeting - Special

That the agenda be approved as printed.

That Council receive the report from the Director of Corporate Services/Clerk regarding a Letter of Resignation from Harvey Ward Councillor Kim Letto and Declaration of Vacancy for their information; and further That the Letter of Resignation from Councillor Kim Letto be accepted with regret pursuant to Section 260(1) of the Municipal Act which provides that a Member of Council may resign from office by notice in writing filed with the clerk of the municipality; and further That Council declare the office of Harvey Ward Councillor as vacant effective August 20, 2020; and further That Council direct staff to prepare a Municipal Council Vacancy Policy and make a recommendation at the September 1, 2020 Regular meeting of Council in order to take the necessary steps to fill the vacancy within 60 days pursuant to Section 263(5) of the Municipal Act .

That the Council meeting be suspended at 10:04 a.m. in favour of a Public Meeing pursuant to the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.

That the Council meeting be reconvened at 11:30 a.m.

That By-law B2020-074, being 'A by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council meeting held on August 20, 2020', be read a first, second and third time and passed this 20th day of August, 2020.

That Council adjourn at 11:30 a.m.
