Environmental Advisory Committee

That the agenda be approved as printed.

That the minutes of the Environmental Advisory Committee meeting dated January 16, 2025 be adopted as presented.

That the Committee receive the delegation from Gary Jarosz & Bob Taylor Vaisey, Cavendish Community Ratepayers Association Inc. (CCRAI) regarding Abandoned Dock Initiative; and further That the Committee support the Abandoned Dock Initiative being presented to Council; and further That the Committee investigate ways to educate and communicate the project, when appropriate.

That the Committee receive the presentation from Eric Knott, Curve Lake First Nation regarding Wildfires, Cultural Burning, Prescribed Burning for information.

That the Committee receive the presentation from Steve Brockbank, Director of Emergency Services/Fire Chief regarding Emergency Management Program and Emergency Response Plan for information.

That the Committee receive the DarkSky Sub-committee report for information.

That the Committee authorizes Committee Members to participate electronically in more than 3 meetings annually; and further That the Committee recommends that Council update the Procedure By-law to reflect this change for all Committees in the future.

That the Environmental Advisory Committee adjourn at 8:18 p.m.
