Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee

That the agenda be amended to add Item 9.2 - Economic Development Advisory Committee Meeting; and further That the agenda be approved as amended.

That the Chair be directed to provide a clarification to Council on three (3) points relating to the Sports Pad that were omitted from the presentation made to Council on Survey Responses and Next Steps at the June 2, 2020 Regular Council Meeting; and further That the Minutes of May 14, 2020 Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee Meeting be approved as printed.

That the Committee receive the delegation from Bruce Averill regarding the Buckhorn Community Sports Complex; and further That the Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee (PRCAC) constitute a Sportspad Subcommittee with an agreed to Terms of Reference; and further That this Subcommitttee, on behalf of the PRCAC, undertake a full feasibility study on this initiative consistent with studies being undertaken by the PRCAC on other initiatives to be assessed by the end of Q3, 2020, or sooner if possible.

That a Heritage Advisory Subcommittee be established to develop and recommend strategic direction(s) and leadership required to ensure the development and sustainability of a Heritage Advisory subcommittee in the Municipality of Trent Lakes; and further That the Terms of Reference for the Heritage Advisory Subcommittee, be approved; and further That the Heritage Advisory Subcommittee shall include 1 member of the PRCAC; and further That Bob Taylor-Vaisey be appointed to the Heritage Advisory Subcommittee and shall act as Chair of that Subcommittee; and further That a Trails Subcommittee be established to develop and recommend strategic direction(s) and leadership required to ensure the development and sustainability of a trail network in the Municipality of Trent Lakes; and further That the Terms of Reference for the Trails Subcommittee, be approved; and further That the Trails Subcommittee shall include 1 member of the PRCAC; and further That Marlys Kerkman be appointed to the Trails Subcommittee and shall act as Chair of that Subcommittee.
